Welcome to the
Columbia State TnCIS Study Abroad Scholarship Application!

Please carefully review the information below before starting your scholarship application.
  • All scholarship applicants must attend a study abroad information session or meet with the Director of International Education to be considered for a study abroad scholarship. Information sessions will take place at the following times.
    • September 26 at 12:30 in the Administration Building of the Williamson County Campus
    • September 28 at 12:30 in the Napier Conference Room of Jones Student center on Columbia Campus
    • October 6 at 10:00 in Warf Building, Room 205 on the Columbia Campus
    • October 10 at 12:20 in the Napier Conference Room of the Jones Student Center on Columbia Campus
    • October 13 at 10:00 in Room 104 of the Administration Building of the Williamson Campus
    • October 24 at 12:20 in Room 151 of the Lawrence County Campus
    • October 31 at 12:20 in Room 134 the Lewisburg Campus
    • If you cannot make it to one of the October meetings listed above, please e-mail Wes Dulaney at wdulaney@columbiastate.edu to schedule an appointment to discuss the scholarship

  • You must have a clear disciplinary record.
  • You must be enrolled in credit-bearing coursework at Columbia State during the Fall 2016 and Spring 2017 semesters.
  • You must have 12 college-level credit hours at Columbia State by the time the study abroad program starts.
  • You must have a minimum undergraduate GPA of 2.0 at the time of completing the scholarship application.
    • NOTE: If you are a first-semester student without a college GPA of at least 2.0 established at Columbia State, you cannot be considered for the early round of scholarship applications.
  • You must be 18 years old by the time the study abroad program begins.
  • You must complete all items on the TnCIS application, except for the payment of the application fee.
  • You must have one faculty member submit an online recommendation through TnCIS.
  • Preference will be given to students who have financial need, students who are underrepresented in study abroad, and students who choose to study in countries outside of Western Europe.
  • Please complete this scholarship application by the deadline.
    • Early Application Deadline: November 15
    • Regular Application Deadline: February 1
  • Students who are selected to receive a scholarship will receive 60% of the student’s chosen program fee. The two (2) top scoring applicants will receive a full scholarship.
